About Me

I’m a PhD researcher at the University of Southampton’s International Centre for Ecohydraulics Research. I have a deep interest in how we can restore degraded habitats and their ecosystems, and make them more resilient to future shocks, particularly climate change.

My current research focuses on chalk stream restoration monitoring - specifically of the Lower Anton Restoration Project in Hampshire, England. I’m seeking to expand river restoration monitoring to also consider the lateral, vertical, and temporal dimensions in more depth. My work spans the entire river-floodplain system, from the the channel to the floodplain, the groundwater to the tree canopy, and from macroinvertebrates to macrophytes.

Post-PhD, I aim to continue my career as a researcher. I’m open to a wide range of research topics, whether focusing on freshwater, terrestrial, or marine ecosystems.
